If you're interested in learning more about sequoia trees or in visiting of the groves in California, check out these sites:

Yosemite Conservancy (YC) published The Sequoia Lives On in coordination with their three-year restoration of the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias in Yosemite National Park.

Sequoia National Park is home to the largest sequoia groves as well as the largest sequoia tree, the General Sherman Tree. Calaveras Big Trees State Park in northern California hosts the "Discovery Tree," the first sequoia to be observed by European explorers.

If a trip to California isn't possible, you still may have a chance to see a sequoia! There are many sequoias located around the world, though as these have been planted by people within the last 150 years expect to see smaller specimens. Check out this site to see if there are sequoias near you.
